Train
Although off the beaten track Athenry is very accessable.
We are the first stop if you are travelling from Galway by train.We are only fifteen minutes away! If you take the train from Dublin, we are the second last stop. Less than two hours! Trains are very frequent so you'll have plenty of time to make the trip home. Thats if you can make yourself leave!

Car If you are in the car and driving from Dublin on the main Dublin - Galway route, then turn right just after Craughwell, or at Derrydonnel. Both turns are well signposted.
If travelling from Galway then take the main Dublin route and turn left at Derrydonnel. This turn is also well signposted.

Bus From the main Galway bus station in Eyre Square there are a number of buses travelling to Athenry. There are also a number of buses travelling from Athenry to Galway, and one to Eyrecourt.
